Autumn and Owls

I love this time of year!  It’s very dry so the trees haven’t been quite as vibrant this year, but still beautiful.   I’ve been celebrating by making a lot of autumn themed jewelry.  Even though it’s still quite hot outside, I can feel the winter coming in my bones.  I instinctively start knitting and weaving and spinning, and drinking hot tea like crazy.  I start thinking about making big pots of soup and building fires in the wood stove.  I was fortunate enough to overhear a long conversation between two hoot-owls the other night!  It was a perfect fall evening.

I’m working on a couple of custom orders right now… waiting on a few more things to come in the mail to finish one of them.  Can’t wait to see the new tent!  Last night I was working on a paper lantern to help light it for the Holiday Artist’s Market.  I’m already starting to gather materials, and it’s more than a month away.  I have really missed doing the summer market.

I’m on a mission to track down some used but serviceable white/solid table covers, be they sheets or table cloths, and any other items that would make for interesting display pieces.  I am still looking for the right old suitcase to make into a necklace display.
